Strengths and Limitations of the DSM IV and Changes in the DSM V
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) has been a valued mental health tool for many years. However, in addition to it having many strengths, it has some limitations as well. Chapter 17 discusses some of these issues and the changes that have been made between the DSM IV and DSM V. Also, review the Brief explanation of a 5 Axis Diagnosis which more clearly defined the different axis of the DSM IV.
