3. Navigate to the threaded discussion and respond to the following prompts:
a. The very wording of the term, “income inequality” can stir in us a sense of injustice as it implies that someone is being treated unfairly. Describe your reaction to the term and how it tends to make you feel. Also, explain what experiences you have had that might cause you to respond to this term or issue emotionally in the way you do.
b. What surprised you about the information you heard in the podcast? Identify and describe 2 ideas that stood out to you.
c. How do some of the facts or ideas presented in the podcast affect how you feel about the issue? How do they make you think differently or view the issue differently?
d. In social work, as in many professions, information is often presented based on certain assumptions or beliefs about what will work to fix problems instead of critically examining data and ideas. What can you do as a Christian and a social worker to make sure you are assessing people, situations and ideas fairly, using good data and with Biblical perspectives? Be specific.
