The Industrial Revolution contradicted and reinforced some of the major ideas that were brought by the Enlightenment Era. Enlightenment brought a range of ideas that were centered on reason and knowledge. A great contradiction that can be observed is based on the fact that industrialization was not primarily based on ideas.
