Discussion Prompt 2: Dynamics of 9/11
Discussion Topic
For your second discussion post, we are deviating slightly from the text but still navigating group dynamics.
On 9/11/2001 the United States changed drastically. We experienced a crisis of epic proportions. No matter how old we were or where we were, we were impacted individually, socially and culturally.
For this discussion, please share a statement of where you were on 9/11. What do you remember about this day/ event (if anything)? What do you remember about the nation (responses, emotions, etc.) as a “group,” after 9/11? How would the response to this event have been different if it had targeted one person, or one small group vs the entire nation?
*I know that for some of us this can be a challenging and uncomfortable topic. I appreciate you sharing your experiences. Please respond to one other peer, or myself (your professor) with care and respect.*
