This 3–5-minute recording is an introduction of yourself and your professional identity. Access your state board website and reflect on the importance of licensure as it pertains to identity of a counselor in training. In addition, consider how serving others in love with empathy and compassion appears in your professional identity. Read “Independently Licensed Counselors’ Connection to CACREP and State Professional Identity Requirements” located in the Topic 1 Resources to assist.
Using your GCU Zoom account, create a primer recording of yourself talking about your goal as a future school counselor or clinical mental health counselor. Explain your plan to stay informed to meet licensing board requirements in the state you plan to practice.
