Ethics and Intellectual Property
Intellectual property refers to certain properties that include human intellect and intangible creations. A few examples of intellectual properties include industrial property rights, trade secrets, trademarks, patents, and copyrights. In any given jurisdiction, there are several intellectual property laws that are applicable. They provide rules for enforcing and securing legal rights of the creator to designs, artistic works, and inventions. The aim of these laws is to protect the exclusive right of the creator to control these intangible assets.
