Guidelines for the Observation Assignment I. For this assignment, each student is required to observe at least 4 hours in a physical therapy department, scheduled at the convenience of the physical therapy department. a. It is the responsibility of the student to contact a physical therapy department and arrange this observation. 2. Students should be punctual and arrive in Concorde uniform. 3. No participation with patient is allowed. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE PATIENTS, observe ONLY. 4. The signature of the PT or PTA on Observation Form (see below) is required to verify this experience. 5. Students will then write a paper overviewing their experience during the PT observation. When writing the paper, students MUST use and include the correct terminology as learned in Intro to PT. a. Please refer to the rubric for details regarding this paper.
