Article Summary

Students will choose a primary care or related advanced practice journal (can also be a medical journal) and read one article each week.

1. Summarize the article 2. What did you learn? 3. Will it change your practice in any way? Justify your answer yes or no. 4. Cite the article correctly using APA format.
   I highly recommend that your first 2-4 articles are Review Articles as it will help you to begin to understand the structure and format of a review article. Many of your paper assignments in the MSN program (and DNP) will mimic this structure.
   I highly recommend the last 2 articles be reports of original research, as this is the kind of article you will critique in your Evidence Based Practice/Research course.
