Antigone Essay
There are many elements of Antigone that strike me as important. However, they are not given the attention they require in the play. One of the major issues is the position of women in the society. Gender is seen to play a huge role in some of the actions of the characters. Since Antigone is a female, her actions are often treated with strict punishment by Creon.
