Introduction

Healthcare is a necessity, but not all countries offer high-quality healthcare services to its nationals. The provision of effective care practices in most countries is being hampered by cost inflation, shortage of staff and increased service demand. With this, the need to incorporate integrated service delivery models is heightened for the provision of intensified care to patients.

Notably, the United Kingdom has one of the worlds developed health care systems. Regardless of any political and organizational instabilities, the national health system of the kingdom ensures that medical services are accessible (Grosios, Gahan & Burbidge, 2010). Taxes and national insurance contributions are used to cater medical bills for those that cannot afford. Comparatively, the United States healthcare system is facing vast challenges from staff shortage to increased demand for primary care services.
