Introduction: Research what would be considered critical infrastructure and key resources in a country of your choice (other than the U.S.).

Select a country of your choice and conduct research on the following…Its military and capabilities for self defense. The type of economic system and its ability to sustain itself. The political system, its strengths and weaknesses. Finally what is your country’s geography (consider the neighboring countries, are they friends or foes). Then identify the three critical infrastructures and three key resources CI/KR for that country. Based on your research you must then determine the major threat that your country faces (internal or external) and provide a suggestions for dealing with that threat.

Critical Infrastructure

Critical infrastructure refers to assets within the country that are essential for the functioning of the society or the economy. For any economy or country to function optimally, it is imperative that certain forms of infrastructure are available. Examples of critical infrastructure include roads, energy sources, food and agricultural sector, information technology railways, and communication networks. The country that I identified is the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is an island nation on the northwest of Europe. The United Kingdom is considered to have one of the strongest self-defense forces and military. This has been evidenced in the past as the country tackles terrorism in various regions of the Middle East. According to many people, the United Kingdom’s military capabilities are only second to the United States.
