Argument Paper

Argument Paper

I need a argument paper written about a topic pertaining to human sexuality. It must be a topic that has a level of controversy. You are to select ONE side of the debate and present an argument to support it. Use references to support your statements. Below is the syllabus for the paper.

Select a topic of interest to you that is related to human sexuality. The argument paper should begin with a one- to three-sentence statement of the main thesis. A thesis is an argument concerning an issue. It clearly states the author’s perception and position on the issue. Make your argument clear in your opening paragraph. Your paper should present your beliefs or conclusions related to the topic and should be supported by the literature. Present ONE side of the issue. The paper should include at least three references, and may also include the course text. Include a Cover page, Table of Contents page, and list of references at the end (see the APA Manual of Style for preparing and formatting these).

Birth Control

The controversial topic that I identified on human sexuality is birth control. Birth control refers to the practice of preventing unwanted pregnancies mainly through the use of contraceptives. In the past, birth control was not popular and is strongly rejected by most religions across the world. Today, the topic is still considered to be a very controversial topic whenever people start to discuss human health and sexuality. Whereas many Western nations have over time adopted birth control, there are still many regions in the world where the practice is highly discouraged by members of the public and the whole society in general. Birth control involves the use of different methods that ensure that inception does not take place. Some of the most common ways include hormonal methods, barrier methods, natural methods, and emergency contraception. Hormonal methods alter the hormones within the body so that contraception does not take place.
