Question 1
Reading through the gospels, it is clear that Mark was among the first of the four writers while Luke used it as a source of reference. The activities in both are similar except that Luke has edited almost all chapters to subtract or add a few details which are not seen in Mark. In Mark 14:3-9, Mark accounts that Jesus was at the home of Simon the Leper in Bethany. While he was dining with the rest, a woman enters and anoints his head, an act that surprises many but pleases Jesus. Everyone else wonders why the woman had to waste the anointing oil instead of selling it and donating to the poor. However, Jesus stated that her actions were great as the poor will always be there and He will not.
