Introduction
Gilt Groupe, an American company, has since its inauguration augmented in its acceptance among the people of the United States of America as a leading sales display place for top notch designer wear. As such, this establishment has been selling designer clothes for major designers on a discounted rate in the City of New York using an invite – only structure. Nevertheless, Gilt Groupe is unprotected from the drawback of failing to attract customers from other States in America since the only customers shopping at Gilt Groupe are from New York City. The reason for this expression is the fact that the regular customers who have to wait in long queues just to procure designer clothes from Gilt Groupe come in hundreds which becomes an object of problematic factor for Gilt Groupe following that this company only host their flash sales proceedings only twice per year. Therefore, to eliminate this problematic issue, Gilt Groupe plans on designing and implementing an online platform from where they can display their products to a wide range of potential customers despite the scope of their geographical locations. By doing so, Gilt Groupe would ensure that their sales would stretch and expand their market niche to the edges of the United States and overflow to other continents such as Europe and Australia where sales are projected to be high all year round due to the region’s affluence status
