Introduction to American Politics
Question One
According to the theory of pluralism, power in any society is distributed among different groups in a society, which often play a role in shaping the interests of the members of said groups. For example, workers unions of the twentieth century played a critical role in advancing political interests, and politicians would lobby for support from the Unions to help improve their chances of winning certain positions in government. Notably, the groups are especially good for any democracy, primarily due to their role in providing some civic education insight to their members, which may otherwise have been unavailable in their absence.
