Quantitative Research Analysis
The research analysis herein provides an overview of the evaluation of Jalil, Huber, Sixsmith, & Dickens, (2017). The quantitative study focused on the implications of cases of aggression experienced by nurses dealing with patients suffering from mental health issues. Problem Statement and Purpose of Study
The purpose of the research in this case was to identify the relationship between the experiences of mental health nurses due to their exposure to cases such as aggression, and their reaction to patients such as anger de-escalation or recommendation of restraints for the patients. Notably, the subject is of special importance to the nursing profession, owing to the constant exposure of nurses to such incidences of aggression. The purpose narrows down the aim of the study significantly, ultimately providing the audience with information on what to expect in the research.
