The joint venture that has been selected in this case is between Google and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). The company has partnered with Google main company (Alphabet) to come up with minute electronic implants intended for the treatment of diabetes, asthma as well as other chronic diseases (Reuer, Klijn, & Lioukas, 2013). GSK is based in Britain and is the main drug company and the primary aim of the joint venture is to do extensive research on bioelectronic medicines. The venture formed is known as Galvani Bioelectronics and GSK will possess 55% of the company.
