A CSIRT is a team found within an organization that is responsible for providing support and service to a specific target community or end-users so that information security incidents can be prevented, managed and responded to. CSIRT teams are mainly built in four different ways by organizations (Killcrece, Georgia, et al., 2003). The various ways are dependent on the organization’s financial capabilities, infrastructure, size and risk carried by operations, and availability of expertise.
