Biometric recognition is any technology doing these things: authenticating you or identifying your identity. For authentication, an image is accessed from the gadget to authenticate a match. For identification, an image is run through a catalog of imagery. The latter is generally used to unlock, applications, computers, and phones. Security through biology is an alluring idea; however, the shift to biometric technology has created profound threats to security and privacy. Its low adaptation is because it is less secure, easily hacked, big repercussions, and lack of revocability.
