Validity is the state of which something proves to either be authentic, genuine or having a legal force. It is also referred to as the quality of measurement that indicates the degree to which the measure serves as a reflection of the underlying construct. These are to mean whether it measures what it claims to measure (Maxwell, 1992). Research design, on the other hand, is the strategy that one uses to be able to integrate the various components of a study in a way that it is coherent and logical.
