Based on my findings, some of how one can explain a diagnosis to a patient include telling them what is meant by diagnosis. This should be a diagnosis is a label for cluster symptoms and that the focus of the clinician is to address the symptoms. One can explain a diagnosis to a client by giving those details or rather a rundown on how they got it. This is in most cases considered the starting point, which explains the client’s symptoms and history.
