Apparently, the adventure has gotten the better part of me. I have found it irresistibly hard to keep off the mischief with Tom around. Now that Pap was no longer a dark cloud hanging over my shoulders, I could do absolutely anything I wanted. Aunt Sally couldn’t keep “siviling” me, we all damn well know I am not cut out for it.
