Constitutional History

Read the following articles:
- “Declaration of Independence: A History”;
- “A More Perfect Union”(can be accessed through Bill of Rights or Constitution headings); and
- “Q and A Pertaining to the Constitution”(can be accessed through the Constitution heading).
You may consult other resources at this website or conduct and attribute other research as well. After reading and digesting these materials, please prepare a 6-10 paragraph essay on the following topic:, “What I believe all Criminal Justice Professionals should know about the preparation and/or adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.”
Your essay should include a discussion of at least three historical facts concerning the adoption of the aforementioned documents and why you believe it is important for criminal justice professionals to know about a particular issue. You are expected to discuss all three historic documents rather than limiting yourself to just one or two. Please attribute any ideas that are not your own by indicating the author in parenthesis, ex. (Jones), following a particular sentence. If the author is unavailable, indicate the title of the article, ex., “Declaration of Independence: A History.” Also, please include a Works Cited page.
