Some info the teacher gave on assignment…..

Then, create your field notes from the video presented this week. It is best to do so by listing out in some sort of logical order. No specific format is required for field notes as they are for your own purposes of retaining information to be included in your final report. Below is a sample of a portion of the field notes to give you an idea of how you should complete your field notes as a sentence outline (although complete sentences and grammar are not important for field notes):

Dispatched advised:
A 911 call from Mrs. Jones, reporting she was thrown to the ground and punched in face by husband, Mr. Jones.
Two were currently separated.
There is a possible witness to incident, based on call
Another unit is dispatched for backup
As unit turned on the Jones’ street, noticed a red pickup truck drive away from nearby driveway and children running to a nearby house.
At dispatched location, saw adult female crying with head in hand on steps of house, and two neighbors across street looking out their window, indicating possible witnesses.
Saw two male adults behind the residence next door.
