The Between Targeted Marketing and Mass Marketing

            Targeted marketing entails differentiating certain aspects of marketing to suit the needs of specific audiences. Under target marketing, marketers separate customers into distinct categories and develop promotion messages based on the unique desires and expectations of each group. Mass marketing, on the other hand, entails using the same message to promote products to all audiences. Under mass marketing, promoters do not place as many commercials as they can on different media platforms, such as television, radio, and billboards. Mass marketing emerged first and evolved from mass production.
