“Shake, Rattle, and Roll” was a classic rock n roll recorded by Big Joe Turner in the year 1954 with its cover version by Bill Haley featuring The Comets. On the other hand, “The Mystery Train”, also from the rock n roll genre was originally inscribed and recorded by Junior Patrick and its cover copy by Elvis Presley in the year 1955. Though these pair of songs have their different qualities due to various regulations, they also have similarities to both of these pairs. This assignment looks at the construct qualities of these rock n roll songs from the 1950s comparing and contrasting the original versions to their respective cover versions.
