The facts of the case feature two parties, the offeror, Armstrong Aggregates Co. and the offeree, Bishop. According to the facts presented in the case study, Armstrong made an offer to sell tonnes of scrap mica with the price being $180 per tonne. The letter was posted on May 2nd and was received the next day by Bishop. However, Bishop sent an acceptance letter on the 22nd of May which was received on the 30th of May. Following the acceptance, Armstrong declined the acceptance and stated that he would sell the scrap mica at $187 per tonne which led Bishop to sue him for breach of contract.
