Sports in high school and college have been popular since the 1950s and 1960s. When students are in their teens, they develop aspirations and talents in various sporting activities. It is at this stage when an individual may pursue a career in sporting instead of pursuing various education achievements. However, there have been many challenges that are observed in high school and college sports that often decrease the chances of a student excelling in either their education or in sports. These challenges have affected many students in the past and still continue to be faced by students in schools today. Addressing some of the biggest problems is an important step towards understanding the various ways solutions can be adopted for the sporting fraternity to ensure that students excel in both areas.
