Non-traditional Lesson Presentation/handout, video lesson, and reflection
Find, modify and/or otherwise develop a discrepant event or non-traditional teaching technique and present it to your class in 5‐8 minutes. This presentation should be accompanied by one page (front/back is OK) handout with the following sections:
· overview/introduction
· grade-level targeted
· time constraints and issues
· necessary materials
· discussion of where this would fit within the curriculum including the standard(s)
· the nature of the discrepancy (if applicable)
· a discussion of what is happening from a pedagogical perspective.
You will also be required to present and RECORD your lesson in your classroom (No more than 5 minutes), and write a brief reflection (no more than one page double-spaced 12 font) about the lesson on the importance of using discrepant events/non-traditional teaching techniques in the classroom.
