Prejudice and Discrimination
Prejudice and discrimination are social issues with the ability to derail progress within an economy. They often lead to the disenfranchisement of the minority groups in the society, with the existing stereotypes adversely influencing the ability to receive equal opportunities due to the discriminatory practices. In particular, governments in societies struggling with issues related to prejudice and discrimination have often made an effort to enact laws that would guarantee equal access to opportunities for the different minority groups in the country.
