Question 1
Africa is one of the continents with the most civilizations in the world, and the main reason that contributed to their formation is the geographical factor. The African continent covers a fifth of the total surface on earth and comes in second after Europe regarding size (Jackson, 2015). Africa is triple the size of the United States since it stretches 5000 miles more to the north and south as well. Due to the large geographical area that Africa occupies, the population could not survive in one civilization that explains why many of them arose. The different cultural groups held different regions of the continent, established specific ways of communicating and cooperating with society to survive the everyday life. The settlement considered the factors of the availability of food, water, arable land and a peaceful environment away from the wild dangers.
