American Government
The enlightenment period and the arguments put forth by John Locke played a critical role in advancing the American political view. Both sources of influence paid significant attention to the need for free speech equality, and increased religious tolerance, all of which influenced most revolutions at the time. Consequently, the American society took a cue from the existing situation in the global society, which in turn affected the political ideas of the American founding fathers, thereby prompting the American Revolution.
