Angina pectoris is one of the medical terms used to mean chest pain which may be brought about by coronary heart disease. Two other medical terms which will also be used by doctors will be angina or stable angina. The chest pain which will be experienced by the patient may also be brought about by a reduced flow of blood in the heart of the patient. The reduced or lack of blood to the heart will lead to a reduced flow of oxygen which should flow through the heart muscle (Prinzmetal, 375-388, 1959).
