Animation, as a technique in film making, recording of events and for entertainment purposes has undergone tremendous changes, evolution and advancements. Arguably the first attempts at presentation of motion in sequences of artistic drawings date back to the Paleolithic era with cave paintings and heliographs. With the invention age, the 19th century saw the creation of a number of devices that made it successful to depict motion in a range of animated pictures. These included the magic lantern, the thaumatrope and the phenakistoscope (Heraldson, 1975). These devices applied similar techniques that are applied in animation to the current date.
