Some of the major areas of responsibility for coaches in various sports include teaching, supervision, coaching duties, equipment and supplies management, and understanding the school policy. As coaches undertake these tasks, there are huge concerns and risks that could be observed if the coaches do not perform their duties diligently. In the recent past, there have been many cases where coaches and other athletic personnel have been sued by athletes for negligence and other vices within the athletic department or various sporting activities. On many occasions, some of these coaches have lost their jobs and fined for failing to observe some of the ethical responsibilities that they are supposed to abide to.
