In this unit, you learned about mood and anxiety disorders. For this assignment, you will use the databases within the CSU Online Library to select an article that focuses on these disorders. The article must be from a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal. Please contact the library team if you need assistance locating an article in the library’s databases.
After selecting your article, you will write a two-page paper that discusses what the article was about and includes your critique of the article. Your article critique must address the elements below:
• Discuss the genetic, neurobiological, social, and psychological factors that contribute to the mood disorders.
• Describe the symptoms, the diagnostic criteria, and epidemiology of mood disorders.
• Identify the medication and psychological treatments of mood disorders.
• Describe the clinical features of the anxiety disorders.
• Describe treatment approaches that are common across the anxiety disorders, and explain how treatment approaches are modified for the specific anxiety disorders.
• Describe how the anxiety disorders tend to co-occur with each other, and identify how gender and culture influence the prevalence of anxiety.
Be sure to incorporate material from your textbook, and explain how your selected article relates to the information covered in this unit. If necessary, you may use other scholarly sources to support your critique.

The article discusses complicated grief on the perspectives of epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, and assessment. There are two forms of grief that the article identifies, which are normal and complicated grief. Normal grief is a reasonable response to a loss and refers to the stress that results from and follows after bereavement.
