Qualitative and quantitative researches are methods used by researchers to undertake different projects. However, it is essential for the people taking the study to note the differences associated with the two ways to avoid mistakenly thinking that the two terms can be used interchangeably. Qualitative research can be referred to as exploratory research. This method of study is used to get the understanding of the underlying reasons, opinions and as well as motivations. Qualitative research gives insights into the problem or aids in developing ideas or hypothesis for possible quantitative analysis.
