In light of the improved level of competition between contemporary organizations, there has been a need for improved innovative measures within the companies. Innovation guarantees that the companies are able to meet their objectives at limited costs, which in turn influences the level of profitability within the business. Ultimately, while some organizations have taken advantage of and benefited from innovation, others are yet to implement any innovative measures, which has reduced their level of profitability in the long run. The case of Blockbuster’s fall from glory is one of most significant aspects detailing the critical nature of innovation within the modern business environment.
