ASSIGNMENT: INTRODUCTION
Guidelines for Introduction Assignment:
Your assignment is to write a brief (no longer than a page) letter of introduction, introducing yourself to me. You may include whatever you feel comfortable sharing, but I do ask that you avoid making statements that you are enrolled in EPCC and/or in my class.
Objectives:
A) To have you write and put your best writing forward
B) To think about your audience
C) To start using and familiarizing yourself with MLA guidelines
D) To familiarize yourself with the homework submission tool/links
Instructions:
1. Open a Word document formatting it to MLA guidelines. [Times New Roman, 12-font, double-spaced] See below for sample heading.
2. Begin by writing your MLA heading. (see sample and videos)
3. The letter of introduction should begin immediately following your heading (without extra spaces).
4. The letter itself should use your most formal language to introduce yourself to me. You may include any information you like that is unique to you.
5. This should be at least a strong paragraph and no longer than one page.
6. Save your Word document then return to our Blackboard page.
7. On Blackboard, return to the “Introduction” unit and click on “Introduction Due Here.”
8. Click the “Browse computer” button, choose your saved Word document, then click the “Submit” button. Once you have done this, you should see the success bar highlighted towards the top of the page.
