Write one fully elaborated discussion question or topic about about the assigned reading(s). When formulating your question or topic for discussion you must make sure to address all of the following three elements in no more than one paragraph:
Contextualization: You should give your audience some context to the question or topic you want the class to discuss by situating its importance in relation to both the course and class themes and the assigned materials.
Referencing: You should refer explicitly to the specific parts of a given source upon which you are basing the question or topic you want the class to discuss. This requires that you cite, quote, and refer properly to the source (e.g., reading or film) upon which the question or topic is based.
Formulation: You should make sure to formulate your question(s) or topic(s) for discussion in a manner that is clear, understandable to others, and that elicits, stimulates, or provokes thought and response from others. Questions and topics for discussion should not merely convey a specific or personal view, interpretation, or opinion; instead, questions and topics should prompt a broader conversation about issues of concern to others and of direct relevance to the course.
