Audience Analysis of a claim
Complete the attached Audience Analysis worksheet for P3 and submit it as a doc/Docx file. Pay close attention to the second half of the worksheet because you are only to answer 1 of the 3 questions in that section.
To help you get started, I recommend making a list of MANY potential audiences. Then group them into “agree”, “neutral”, and “disagree” and then choose the audience that you will most enjoy making your argument to, perhaps depending on what you want to accomplish. [With audiences who agree with you, your job will be to make them take action, so you’ll need to identify barriers that are stopping them from doing so. With audiences who are neutral, your job will be to persuade them to be on your side. With audiences who disagree, your job will be to find some middle ground with them.] NOTE: you can’t just make up your audience and/or their stance… do not just say “I’m writing to people who are neutral.” Instead, you must select a more specific audience, though it can be broader than it was in your Paper 2.
