Determination of biblical text’s historical context is essential since it helps in revealing some of the “Presupposition Pool” shared between the writer as well as the original readers that are intended. In this book, the author identifies himself as James (1:1). The author of the book, James, was probably Jesus’s brother and the Jerusalem’s council leader. James was perhaps the oldest among the brothers of Christ. This is because he leads the list and is mentioned in Mathew 13: 55.
