Age 0-6 months  
Looks where sounds come from, and turns the head towards the direction. There is an interest at the speaker, able to hold attention with a speaker though brief. Able to respond to his name by turning the head     When lying on tummy, can push up using the arms, lift and hold his head up
Looks at patterns that mainly contrast like dark and light.   There is use of vocal mainly by intonation     The child can move his hands to his own mouth.
There is an imitation of adult facial movement especially the tongue when being spoken to.   There is appropriate response to angry and friendly tones.     On his back, they can move their hands to play with their feet.
They learn through sensory means.         They can stand on their feet but when supporting themselves.
There is a copying of things seen(actions) but are unaware of the effects.         They can roll from tummy to back and vice-versa.
