Several factors can trigger weight gain. Some factors responsible for obesity are junk food. Junk foods are affordable, a sweet tasting which makes them hard to resist and mostly people overeat them contributing to weight gain (Currie et al., 2010). Obesity can be inherited from parents to their children. Some families are associated with obesity. Obesity has strong genetic components making it inheritable. People who don’t like doing exercises liking walking, attending gyms are likely to suffer from obesity. Type 2 diabetes is substantially linked to obesity.
