Which of these key elements would you assign initial priority
A key take-away that I had in regard to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in relation to strategic alliances was trust and credibility. There is more tension and decreased productivity in an environment where there is a lack of trust or loss of credibility for a party in an alliance. The text identifies CSR as a balanced approach to address social, economic and environmental issues in a manner that benefits the triad of people, communities and society (Goetsch and Davis, 2016).
There are nine key elements of CSR. They include human rights, occupational safety and health, business practices, governance, environmental management, consumer relations, marketplace activities, community involvement and social development. Many of these items are linked to the free-market system and are needed as the foundation to build upon in business relationships (Goetsch and Davis, 2016). I did go through them and try to prioritize which would be a starting point or initial steps in new business development and found that general business practices seem to be a corner stone. Which of these key elements would you assign initial priority when restructuring, growing or developing a business?
