The student should write a 2-3 page paper (body), APA style and thoroughly address the topic of Grants and Loans from the Small Business Administration and other governmental agencies. Outside research and sources are required. (the class textbook is not an outside source)
Suggestions and Ideas
1) Look at page 312 of Class Discussion question #2.
Should the government provide grants for entrepreneurs starting new businesses? Should the government guarantee loans for small businesses that are missing the necessary track record, assets, or other ingredients to obtain a commercial bank loan? What benefit do we, as a nation of taxpayers, receive from such grants and loan guarantees?
2) Search Small Business Administration Website for ideas.
3) Search for other agencies that offer loans and grants.

Where can you find information about an industry you would like to consider owning a business?
How reliable are your sources of information?
Do you have enough information to make a decision to invest or borrow money?
