Response 1.) Kimberly
My Omnibus Research Question is: “What are the effects that the COVID-19 Pandemic has had on healthcare professionals in terms of their mental health status today?”
The ideal is to have this question tailored to a specific group of people that had first personal experience of handling stress, sickness, and death. The goal is to understand how this has affected healthcare professionals that still worked in the hospital or clinical setting during the pandemic and even those that worked remotely and then had to return to their place of employment. The level of stress does not and is not limited to these people professionally but also within their personal lives. These people all had the above happen not only at work but dealt with life outside of the office as well. All of this had a tremendous effect on them mentally and emotionally. We are attempting to answer within this study that a pandemic can and will change the chemical makeup of a person. Stress can change who a person is based on what they have been around, seen, and dealt with. The issues and concerns that the COVID-19 Pandemic has done to not only people here in the United States but also people around the world, globally, have taken a major effect on so many lives and their livelihoods. It is amazing how a pandemic that swept through like wind blowing changed the course of life that we all knew and placed everyone in a fog that has not gone away. The remnants of this COVID-19 pandemic changed life and continue to change life as we know it. We are seeking answers to understand the major effects of what people such as healthcare professionals are dealing with that change their mental health status from what it was pre-COVID-19 pandemic.

The challenges that women face trying to advance in their career fields. I believe that there are several questions that would possibly fall into the Omnibus criteria but in doing so would broaden the length of the study to research those same elements listed. An Omnibus survey is administered to a wide number of participants that ask questions that are not related to the topic.
The Omnibus questions to the research study would be:
Have you experienced mental fatigue when pressing yourself to the limit? Although this question does not specifically address the research problem it highlights the reprecussions of overworking yourself which many have done and are still doing to prove themselves.
Do you believe that you need more focus? Life happens and when it does we need to do a self-assessment to evaluate our priorities and realign ourselves with the target mark or goal is. The question is a probe into to what has may be triggered or altered their focus from what is of importance but can easily be associated with a disadvantage of the study.
What habits are necessary to break to seek new opportunities? This is a question that is broad enough to get various different responses but many can be categorized and grouped in an effort to have possible links into the study.
How does money factor into your pursuit of happiness? There is no right or wrong response to this question but what this question would point out is what a person is willing to do to obtain it. The study addresses inequality not just in career advancement but also in pay disparity when it comes to men verse womens pay scale. Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
