You are so strongly opposed to (or in favor of) this change in the privacy policy that you are motivated to send a message to the social network expressing your opinion. What do you say? 2. The social media platform has offered a unique way of reaching out to potential consumers at a reasonable cost. Despite this, the recent violation of the network’s privacy policy raises ethical dilemmas as this is a breach of the European Law on privacy and data protection laws. The recent provision to permit Walmart access to the user’s private information is not in compliance with the privacy policy which will elicit vast concerns upon the publication of this information. As a social network company, user’s privacy should be valued as this is not only enacted in the laws but also makes the user’s experience safe and satisfying. Besides, it important to note that the privacy policy highlights how the user’s information should be collected and appropriately used or disclosed. By using the social network, the users have consented to the information handling practices enacted in the network’s privacy policy.
