This assignment is the continuation of last week assignment you did for Proposal for Case Study on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

INSTRUCTIONS
Once you have read the case study that was sent by your instructor, and at least 1 other case study
you have found, your assignment is to prepare an outline and bibliography. The Case Study:
Outline and Bibliography Assignment (this week) will include references you plan to use in developing your
Case Study: Paper Assignment and Case Study: Presentation Assignment ( next week), as well as a brief,
1-page outline. This exercise will help you prepare for the presentation and paper, ensuring that
you are clearly covering all the required points for the upcoming assignments.
Outline
The outline must include these 3 sections and be no longer than 1 page (excluding title page
and references OR the title page and references are not part of the outline):
1. An abstract of the topic (1 paragraph). This is a stand-alone summary of your paper:
summarize causes, symptoms, treatments, and experimental therapies using concise
language.
2. An outline of the background information on the topic, including the following 4 sub-
sections:
A. The probable cause and current understanding of molecular mechanisms of the
disease topic you have chosen.
B. Symptoms and signs associated with the disease.
C. Statistics regarding the distribution and incidence of this disease (epidemiology).
D. Current therapies and treatments for the disease, including experimental therapies
if available.
3. A brief description of the case study you searched and selected on your own (not the one
sent by your instructor) and plan to implement in your presentation. Include the age and
sex of the patient(s) if available.
BIBLIOGRAPHY
Your bibliography must include at least 3 scholarly sources in addition to your course textbook.
Cite using current APA format and include the authors’ names, the name of the article in full, the
name of the scientific journal followed by the volume number, the pages containing the article
cited, and the date of publication.
