Luna Lovegood is a character in the play Harry Porter. Lovegood was a witch and the only child in her family. Luna was raised with her father after the death of her mother while she was experimenting with different spells. Having joined the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she is perceived as a weird being by her peers. Besides, she demonstrates some odd beliefs, most of which she learned from her father who taught her to have an open mind (The Harry Porter Lexicon, 2018). However, due to her father’s political resistance, Luna was abducted and imprisoned for months. Later, she was released in the company of other prisoners to take part in the Second Wizarding War.
